Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan monitored this week’s announcement by the government concerning the extensions of non-ACA compliant health plans in the small group and individual markets. We are evaluating the impacts this change would have on our business and members for upcoming open enrollment periods and beyond,” said Andy Hetzel, vice president of corporate communications for BCBSM. “Currently, the State of Michigan is determining if it will allow health insurers to provide plan extensions. Blue Cross expects to make an announcement soon after the state makes its determination.”
